With the holidays in full swing everyone is looking for that perfect gift. I know there are several different types of items on my Holiday wish list – the dream gift (Chanel Handbag), the splurge piece (Ted Baker dress) and the practical item (a bejeweled toque from Tristan, it can’t be too practical). Not what you’re looking for? If you want a practical splurge worthy item I think I may have the perfect gift for you – the Clarisonic Aria.
I was not born with perfect skin – decent skin but with issues. Now that the weather is changing and getting colder my biggest skin issues are dull dry skin. Some of you may know what I’m talking about; with less natural sunlight our skin is missing the natural warmth of the sun, plus there are those dry patches that some of us get all because of our wonderfully cold and extremely dry winters in Canada. I usually get dry patches on my cheeks/chin/nose area. I also have an issue with large pores, which makes for some fun times.
That being said when I was approached to test out the Clarisonic Aria I have to admit I was excited. I had read lots of reviews and they were all extremely positive. Skin is important and as we add some years to our life resume (sounds much better then getting old) we want to ensure that our skin is taken care of and shines. We only have one face so we should treat it well.
The Aria is a “harmonic blend of function and form. Sleek, modern, intuitive, Clarisonic Aria sings with 3 speeds, a real-time battery life indicator, USB-enabled pLink charger and a drying stand that converts to a charging station when coupled with the pLink charger. Cleansing is the essential first step in a healthy skin care ritual. The patented Clarisonic Sonic Cleansing Brush uses a sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second to deeply cleanse the skin far more effectively, yet more gently, than traditional superficial cleansing or simple rotating brushes. The result is noticeably smoother, more radiant skin.
“The first time I used my Aria I had a patch of dry skin on my cheek that had been there for a few days, it was gone after that first use. Not only that my skin felt polished and my pores less visible. Honestly that’s all I needed to be hooked was seeing immediate results after that first time. I use my Aria twice a day when I can (life sometimes gets in the way of a great skin care routine) and have not had any issues. My skin looks clean and it feels cleaner. Which sounds strange but once you use the Aria you will know exactly what I mean.
Here are some of the great features of this machine
– 3 speeds
– Adjustable timer. The “universal” timer is set for a minute and is broken down as so – 20 sec forehead, 20 sec nose/chin, 10 sec each cheek. It takes the guess work out of it
– USB-Enabled Universal Voltage pLink Charger which makes it perfect for travel
– Interchangeable Facial Brush Heads
– 2 Year Warranty
At Yorkdale the Aria is available at Hudson Bay, Sephora and Holt Renfrew.
