When I am asked to define the trends for any given season, my answer is more than likely met with “but how am I supposed to wear that???” I know that fashion can be confusing, intimidating and downright frustrating but Yorkdale’s Wardrobe Planning Program –is here to help!
A complimentary 2 hour Wardrobe Planning Appointment will confirm first of all – that you do not have to wear “the trends” in order to look fashionable. You can however make appropriate trends work for you - depending on lifestyle, budget and body type. It starts with a wardrobe made up of perfectly fitting, classic, pivotal pieces in quality fabrics, along with a few good accessories. You must have the proper foundation before you build.
At your appointment you will discover that there are many fabulous items to invest in now that will see you through many seasons to come: the trench, an oversize tote, a gold or silver cuff bracelet, or beautiful leather jacket. To these pieces add something feminine. Floral prints and ruffles should be on your shopping list. Don’t worry about looking too girlie – pair them with something tailored to add newness. Bright colours and pastels will both be on trend. Take special note of sky blue hues and pretty pinks, blush and nude shades.
Spring fashion is all about renewal and change AND putting the winter blahs behind us. Bring on the longer sun-saturated days and the fabulous fashions that go with them!
